Xdinary Heroes’ Obsessed with Youth: MV or Sampler?
Start with the official “Obsessed with Youth” music video to hear Xdinary Heroes’ new title track in full. The two IMPULSE samplers serve different purposes: one previews the album, while the other puts the instrumental music in focus. Choose your next video according to what you want to explore.

One release, three useful video routes
IMPULSE is the Korean band’s ninth mini album, released on October 12, 2026. It contains seven tracks, led by “Obsessed with Youth.” A title track is the song chosen to lead an album’s promotion; it does not have to share the album’s name.
| You want… | Open this official video | JYP listing date |
|---|---|---|
| The complete lead song | “Obsessed with Youth” M/V | October 12, 2026 |
| An overview before choosing album tracks | IMPULSE Highlight Sampler | October 7, 2026 |
| An instrumental preview | IMPULSE Instrumental Live Sampler | September 28, 2026 |
Official listings: music video, Highlight Sampler and Instrumental Live Sampler.
The dates explain why you may encounter a sampler before the finished release. Both sampler posts preceded the album. Neither is a substitute for listening to its seven complete tracks.

“Obsessed with Youth”: follow the build
JYP’s album introduction describes the song as EDM rock: electronic dance music combined with rock. It opens with dreamy synthesizers and expressive vocals, then builds toward strong guitar and a dynamic climax. That progression gives a first-time listener something specific to follow, beyond deciding whether the chorus is catchy.
Start with the complete MV and listen for the shift from the dreamy opening to the guitar-driven climax described by JYP.

Then choose what you want to hear more clearly
To explore the instrumental arrangements, try the Instrumental Live Sampler below. It offers another way into the album after the title track.

If you would rather choose your next album track, use the Highlight Sampler. Once a passage catches your attention, find that song on the official IMPULSE album listing on Apple Music. Playback options depend on your account and region; the preview itself is not the full album.

Use the sampler as a map into seven complete tracks
Use the official IMPULSE track order below to move from the sampler to a complete song.
- Obsessed with Youth
- Give Up The Ghost
- Slashhh!
- u and me in arguments
- You Right There
- Love in dystopia
- Breathe in, Breathe out
The title track is also the opener. One straightforward route is to hear it, continue to track 2, then let the album's own sequence carry you further. For a shorter comparison, try the opener and the closing track before returning to the middle. Those are two ways of exploring the published order; they do not assume that the tracks tell one literal story.
Make the same comparison in two stages
First compare complete recordings. Listen for where a musical idea begins, returns and finishes, and choose one passage you want to revisit. A highlight excerpt can introduce that idea while leaving out the transitions around it. The full track gives you those missing connections.
Next use the Instrumental Live Sampler to focus your attention on the band arrangement. Treat it as another presentation, with its own selection and performance context. A sound that is easier to notice there is a useful prompt to revisit the album audio; its prominence alone does not prove that the studio mix, tempo or instrumentation changed.
Track order rechecked against JYP's official discography on October 26, 2026. The listening routes and comparison questions are our editorial suggestions.
A specific next song: “Voyager”
If you like the new song’s blend of electronics and rock, try the official “Voyager” MV. It is the title track from DEAD AND, released on April 17, 2026. JYP describes a strong synth riff, powerful drums and swirling guitars supporting an expressive melody—a useful earlier point of comparison.
For another Korean band to explore afterward, our DAY6 beginner’s guide offers four starting songs.
