SEVENTEEN Members & CARAT Guide: Songs, Units and 2026 Fan Events

SEVENTEEN is a 13-member K-pop group under PLEDIS Entertainment, with three main units and a fandom called CARAT. Their appeal is easy to hear in the songs, but the choreography makes an even better first impression: a large cast moving with the clarity of a much smaller team. This guide covers the members, a five-song starting playlist and officially announced fan activities, including JEONGHAN X JOSHUA’s upcoming DREAMSCAPE release.

Information checked: October 3, 2026. Event times below use KST or JST as marked; both are UTC+9.

Name explained13 members + 3 units + 1 team = 17

The name describes how the group works. The units have their own songs and identities, then come together as SEVENTEEN. Members also participate in music-making and choreography, which is why you will often see them described as a self-producing group.

Who are the SEVENTEEN members?

Thirteen names can feel like homework at first. Learning them by team gives you a much easier starting point.

TeamMembers
Hip-hopS.COUPS, WONWOO, MINGYU, VERNON
VocalJEONGHAN, JOSHUA, WOOZI, DK, SEUNGKWAN
PerformanceJUN, HOSHI, THE 8, DINO

S.COUPS is the group’s leader. WOOZI is a useful name to learn when exploring how their music is made, while the performance team is a natural place to start if dance drew you in. These teams describe the group’s structure, rather than limiting members to just one skill.

The combinations keep changing beyond the three main teams. BSS brings HOSHI, DK and SEUNGKWAN together; JEONGHAN X JOSHUA, also written as JxJ, is the duo behind the upcoming DREAMSCAPE. A unit release is a SEVENTEEN-related project, but it should not be confused with a new album featuring all 13 members.

Five SEVENTEEN songs to start with

This is an editorial listening route, not a chart ranking. Try one song from each side of their sound before deciding which album to explore.

  1. “Adore U” — Start at the beginning. The debut song introduces the playful, bright side of SEVENTEEN.
  2. “Pretty U” — Watch the choreography as well as listening. It is a good entry point for the group’s theatrical approach to a pop performance.
  3. “VERY NICE” — A burst of energy and a recurring concert favorite. Fans also use the Korean title “Aju Nice.”
  4. “Super” — Pick this when you want a bigger, more forceful performance. It appears on FML.
  5. “THUNDER” — Move to HAPPY BURSTDAY, the fifth studio album released on May 26, 2025, for a later chapter in the group’s catalog.

For a second listen, HAPPY BURSTDAY includes solo tracks from all 13 members. That makes it especially useful when you can recognize the group but still want to connect individual voices with names. For a performance-first introduction, try the official “Pretty U” dance practice.

What does CARAT mean for a new fan?

CARAT is SEVENTEEN’s fandom name. You do not need paid membership to start listening, watching official videos or following public announcements. Membership becomes relevant when a specific ticketing or event notice makes it an eligibility condition.

CARAT LAND is the group’s fan meeting series. One of its distinctive traditions is “unit reverse,” where teams perform one another’s songs. The officially announced 2026 edition was scheduled for June 20–21 at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium. Those dates are already past as of this guide’s update; they are not upcoming ticket opportunities.

2026 fan events: dates that still matter

The following are announced JEONGHAN X JOSHUA unit activities. They are not a full-group SEVENTEEN tour schedule. Follow the linked notices for eligibility, ticket availability and changes before spending money on travel.

Date / deadlineActivityWhat to check
Oct 12, 23:59 JSTJapan CARAT member lottery closesJxJ Japan shows; membership eligibility applies
Oct 18, 23:59 KSTSPECIAL FAN PARTY applications closeEligible [FAN PARTY] album purchase + separate application
Oct 19, 18:00 KSTDREAMSCAPE releaseJxJ’s first mini album
Nov 8, 17:00 KSTSPECIAL FAN PARTY, Seoul Women’s University AuditoriumSelected winners only; 500 winners announced in the notice
Nov 21–22, 17:00 JSTJOURNEY INTO [DREAMING] – JAPAN, Belluna Dome, SaitamaDoors at 15:00 JST; check the official ticket notice

A regular album purchase does not automatically enter the fan party. The official notice requires the designated [FAN PARTY] product on Weverse Global and a completed application during the entry period. Results are scheduled to be announced after October 19 at 20:00 KST; buying an album does not guarantee selection. The notice also says the event does not include signed albums.

Use the official fan party notice, album release announcement and HYBE JAPAN ticket announcement for the full rules. KST and JST share the same UTC+9 offset, but neither is the same as a fan’s local time overseas.

Are all 13 members currently active together?

Keep the permanent group lineup separate from the lineup for an individual event. PLEDIS’s contract renewal announcement says all 13 members agreed to a second renewal. It also explains that completion for members carrying out military service will follow their respective service conditions, and looks ahead to full-group activities after service.

For readers planning a trip, the practical point is simple: check the artists named on that event’s notice. A JxJ performance is billed for JEONGHAN and JOSHUA; the SEVENTEEN name on a fan platform does not turn it into a 13-member show.

Where to follow SEVENTEEN officially

Quick questions from new CARATs

Why are they called SEVENTEEN if there are 13 members?

The official explanation is 13 members, three units and one team: 13 + 3 + 1 = 17.

Which song should I try first?

Try “Pretty U” for bright pop and storytelling through dance, or “Super” for a more powerful performance. Then compare both with “Adore U.” There is no required order.

Does CARAT membership guarantee concert tickets?

No. Read each event’s rules: a member application or presale can have its own deadline, lottery and eligibility conditions. Fan party album applications are a separate process.
