K-pop Concert Bag Rules: Clear Bags, Sizes and Power Banks
You do not automatically need a clear bag for a K-pop concert. First find your venue's rule: it may allow a clear tote, allow an ordinary small bag, or prohibit both. Then check the packed bag's dimensions and its contents separately. A transparent bag can be too deep; an acceptable bag can still contain a prohibited charger.
If you are buying your first concert bag, start with the bag you already own and a tape measure. “Stadium approved” on a shopping listing cannot tell you whether it will pass your particular show's checks.

Find three answers before spending money
- Type and count: Is a clear bag required, optional or prohibited? Are backpacks excluded? How many bags can one person carry?
- Dimensions: Check width, height and depth, including filled pockets. Keep the policy's units beside your measurements.
- Contents: Open the prohibited-items list and your show's instructions. Check power banks, lightsticks, bottles and cameras individually.
Use the event page, venue policy and latest organizer or ticket-holder message together. If they disagree, ask about your exact show before choosing a bag.
Three venues, three different bag decisions
Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, US: a clear tote will not solve it
The arena's official FAQ prohibits bags including clear bags, purses, backpacks and fanny packs. Clutches or wallets must be smaller than 5 × 9 × 1 inches, with security inspection. “Smaller than” matters: do not treat those dimensions as an inclusive maximum.
Medical and parental exception: those bags must be smaller than 14 × 14 × 6 inches and undergo X-ray screening. Guest Services can direct you to the screening entrance. Confirm arrangements if your equipment needs more space.
The O2, London, UK: small does not mean every style
The O2's bag policy permits one bag per person, A4 size or smaller. It excludes backpacks, travel cases, laptop bags, camera bags and large totes. It does not supply a numerical depth allowance, so ask about a thick bag rather than inventing one.
There is a specific exception for tote bags bought at official merchandise stores on site, subject to a search. That does not extend to a similar tote brought from home.
Tacoma Dome, Washington, US: check material as well as size
The Dome's official policy allows colorless, fully transparent plastic, vinyl or PVC bags up to 12 × 6 × 12 inches, small clutches up to 4.5 × 6.5 inches, or a one-gallon plastic storage bag. Tinted, glitter and mesh versions do not qualify.
Its rule also excludes smaller non-clear bags inside a clear bag: do not assume you can add a privacy pouch. Diaper bags must meet the clear-bag material and size rules; diaper backpacks are excluded. An exception exists for oversized or bulky medical equipment, which should be discussed with the venue.
The depth mistake: a bag can look right and still fail
Imagine a bag listed as 30 cm wide × 16 cm deep × 30 cm high. Tacoma's 12 × 6 × 12-inch limit converts to 30.48 × 15.24 × 30.48 cm, using 1 inch = 2.54 cm. Width and height fit, but depth exceeds the limit by 0.76 cm.
Pack the bag, close it and measure its outside dimensions. A bulging pocket counts toward what you are bringing. Choosing a little space below a published maximum is more practical than relying on an empty bag's rounded product measurements.
Does a small power bank get a pass?
Bag size does not answer battery permission. For example, Live Nation Italy's safety rules prohibit power banks. A tiny charger in a compliant bag would still conflict with that rule; it is an organizer example, not a rule for every Italian concert.
Search your show's instructions for “power bank,” “portable charger” and “battery pack.” If unclear, give Guest Services your model, physical size and labelled capacity. There is no universal capacity allowance established by the three bag policies above. Charge your phone before leaving and follow your ticket provider's access instructions.
Pack in this order, then measure once more
- Start with necessities: ticket access, phone, any required ID, payment and medication or care supplies you need. Resolve any exception first.
- Add only permitted extras: check your exact lightstick, its case and any charger before making room. Our lightstick guide covers the next equipment questions.
- Remove organizers that create a problem: an opaque pouch can break Tacoma's rule even if the outer tote is clear. Do not transfer that rule to every venue.
- Close, measure and save: record the packed dimensions and official policy links in a phone note. Keep your ticket easy to reach.
A message you can copy to the venue
Replace the brackets and attach a photo if the venue's contact form allows it. This gives the team something specific to answer.
Hello, I am attending [artist/show] on [date]. My bag is [style/material], measuring [width × depth × height, with units] when packed. May I bring it? I also need [item/model and capacity, or medical/parental bag details]. Do I need an exception or a particular screening entrance? If the bag cannot enter, is storage available for this event, and what are its size limits, fee, payment method and collection deadline? Thank you.
Save the response with your event details. It helps clarify the plan; venue screening still applies on arrival.
Check storage before you join the queue
The O2: bag storage just outside the main entrance is listed at £10 per bag and closes one hour after the event ends. Stored bags are screened. Allow time for collection before planning your journey home.
Tacoma: very limited lockers are listed at US$10, subject to change, with card payment only. They are available for most major events, usually from gate opening; early VIP or merchandise access can affect timing. Availability is not guaranteed.
Crypto.com Arena: the FAQ identifies Binbox lockers beside the Kobe Bryant Entrance near the LA Kings Monument, using the Binbox app and its payment platform. It does not state a price on that page. Check the service before relying on it for an oversized bag.
If you need a medical or parental exception, settle the arrangements with the venue before travel. For an ordinary oversized bag, arrange a storage option before joining the queue. Then use our first K-pop concert guide for the US and Europe to plan the rest of the day. A little preparation leaves more room to enjoy the music.
