BTS Universe Is Fiction: One Song, No String (Fan Webtoon)

K-POP COMICS · EPISODE 04 · ONE SONG, NO STRING

The BTS Universe, or BU, is a fictional story setting. SAVE ME is an official webtoon set in it, rather than a biography of the real BTS members. In our fan comedy, Mina gets so busy preparing for her first song that she almost forgets to press play.

Original fan-webtoon cover: Mina relaxes beside Dot and popcorn, with a ball of string set aside and a simple music-play screen.

Panels 1 to 3: Mina has built a detective wall before her first BTS song; Dot explains that SAVE ME is a BTS Universe webtoon and its story is fiction, not biography.
Panels 4 to 6: Mina asks if she can just enjoy a song; Dot reassures her, and a friend arrives with one song and no string.
Panels 7 and 8: Mina sets aside the string and asks for her friend's favorite song; Dot proposes a simpler timeline of play, snack and repeat.

  1. Mina has covered a wall with blank notes and connecting string before choosing her first BTS song.

Mina: “I wanted one BTS song. I built a detective wall.”

  2. Dot points to a tablet showing the plain title SAVE ME and an original book symbol.

Dot: “SAVE ME is a webtoon set in the BTS Universe.”

  3. Two original cards separate a fictional story from music. No real artist is depicted.

Dot: “That story is fiction, not the members' biography.”

  4. Mina holds her ball of string and asks a hopeful question.

Mina: “So I can enjoy a song without solving every clue?”

  5. Dot offers music and story as choices. Mina begins to relax.

Dot: “Yes. Music now, story later. Your pace.”

  6. An adult friend with brown hair, glasses and a blue cardigan arrives with a phone.

Friend: “I brought one song. And absolutely no string.”

  7. The ball of string rests on the table. Mina sits beside her friend, ready to hear a favorite song.

Mina: “Then the wall can wait. Show me your favorite.”

  8. Mina and her friend enjoy listening. Dot shows a simple play, snack and repeat diagram.

Dot: “Finally. A timeline I can follow: play, snack, repeat.”

What is official, and what did we invent?

The official background: WEBTOON's 2019 announcement introduced SAVE ME as a webtoon set in the BTS Universe, created through a Naver Webtoon and Big Hit Entertainment collaboration. The official English series page credits HYBE and LICO and introduces its fictional narrative.

The distinction: A character's experiences in that story are not evidence about a real member's private life. The comic's simple book and music cards help Mina separate those ideas; they are not an official guide to which videos belong to BU. This episode does not summarize the original plot or claim that every BTS release belongs to one storyline.

Our fictional part: Mina, Dot, their friend, the detective wall and every line of dialogue were created for this fan comedy. No BTS member appears or speaks, and no official comic panel, character design, video frame or lyric is reproduced. Dot's “your pace” advice is part of our invented conversation, not a quote from BTS.
