ILLIT Members & Recent Songs: A Beginner’s Guide

New to ILLIT? Start with “Swingin’ Magic” for bright, rhythmic pop, “I Got Your Back” for a comforting rock sound, or “It’s Me” for a techno energy boost. These three 2026 releases offer different ways into the same five-member group.

Release information checked on October 10, 2026. The listening picks below are available now; the upcoming BREAK EVEN album is covered separately.

Who are ILLIT, and who are the members?

ILLIT is a K-pop girl group under BELIFT LAB, which lists their debut date as March 25, 2024. Their five members are YUNAH, MINJU, MOKA, WONHEE and IROHA. The group’s name brings together “I will” and “It,” expressing the idea of choosing their own direction.

If you are trying to match names to faces, open the official member profile: each portrait is named. It is a better starting reference than hair color, which can change between releases. Learn one face first, then return to a group video and try spotting that member.

You will also see GLLIT in comments and official notices. This is ILLIT’s fandom name, pronounced “Glit” and inspired by “glitter,” according to the official announcement. ILLIT is the artist; GLLIT refers to the fans.

“Swingin’ Magic”: the anime-pop entry point

This is the newest release in ILLIT’s official Japanese discography as of the date above. The two-track digital single includes both the original Japanese song and a Korean version, so check the version label when adding it to your playlist.

The release announcement describes a New Jack Swing groove, bright energy and harmonies. It also identifies the song as the opening theme for the second broadcast block of the anime Magical Sisters LuluttoLilly, which began on October 4.

For a first listen, focus on the rhythm before looking up the lyrics. Then compare the two language versions: following the same melody can make an unfamiliar-language song easier to get into. Listen through ILLIT’s official release page, which offers streaming-service choices.

“I Got Your Back”: a different side of the group

The full credit is “I Got Your Back (Feat. JISOO, MOMOKA of HANA)”. The featured JISOO is a member of HANA, so this credit should not be confused with BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.

BELIFT LAB’s Korean-version notice describes an emotive rock sound and a message of support when daily pressure and anxiety become overwhelming. That makes it my suggested alternative if the brighter pop route is not what you are in the mood for.

Watch the official Korean special video, or compare it with the original Japanese music video. The Japanese song arrived in July; the Korean version became available to stream on August 17.

“It’s Me”: start here for dance energy

“It’s Me” appears on the five-track mini album MAMIHLAPINATAPAI, released on April 30, 2026. In their Weverse Magazine playlist, the members describe it as techno, with MINJU recommending it for an energy boost and IROHA suggesting it for a workout or a more confident walk.

My pick: use this as your second listen after “Swingin’ Magic” to hear a different direction from the same group. Watch the official video below, then replay whichever song you would actually keep on your own playlist.

What is coming next?

ILLIT’s fifth mini album, BREAK EVEN, is scheduled for October 26, 2026, at 6 p.m. Korean Standard Time, according to BELIFT LAB’s announcement. As of October 10 it has not been released, so the three picks above are songs you can listen to now.

In K-pop, a comeback commonly means a new release and its promotion cycle; it does not necessarily mean a group has been away for years. A mini album is broadly comparable to an EP. If different physical editions are confusing, our K-pop album versions guide explains the formats before you choose one.

Where to go after your first listen

Keep the song that suits your taste, use the official portraits to learn a member’s name, and try one contrasting track. That gives you a manageable introduction to ILLIT without turning listening into homework.
